History
The initiative behind TamiCo. Dancing is teaching young artists to genuinely respect and love the art of dance. This rewards personal fulfillment, but more importantly positivity and a lasting effect on each student’s life. Enabling students to live this type of thought process through dance encourages limitless expression. TamiCo. Dancing. Teaching expression through dance.
The Team

Her diverse background spans ballet, jazz, flamenco, Brazilian, and modern dance. In addition to dance, Tamiko grew up singing and acting, giving her a deep appreciation for the performing arts as a whole.
Tamiko discovered her love for teaching in her early teens. After graduating, she began working on Ralph Lauren’s personal team, but soon realized that her true passion was working with children and sharing the joy of dance. When the opportunity arose to teach at an after-school program, she embraced it wholeheartedly and knew she had found her calling.
In 2009, she founded TamiCo. Dancing, bringing high-quality dance education with a strong ballet foundation to the Bronx community. For over a decade, she has been inspiring and nurturing young dancers, creating a space where students not only train in dance but also build confidence, discipline, and a love for the arts.

As manager, she is proud to oversee the studio’s daily operations and future creative projects. As an instructor, she feels honored to give back to the children of her native borough, sharing the knowledge and passion she has cultivated through years of dedication to dance.

“My goal as a teacher is to become a mentor for my students and help them reach their full potential. I will always encourage my students to believe in themselves the same way I believe in them.”

Her passion for fitness and providing a great service to the human body has led her in helping others become more confident while on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves.

In Quito, Ecuador she directed, choreographed and starred in leading roles as a dancer and singer in different musical theatre shows like Mamma Mia, Grease, Jesus Chris Superstar, Wizard of Oz and more. She also performed soloist roles at different ballets like Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote and Lily Fairy in Sleeping Beauty just to mention some.
Ms Marie is very exited to share the art of dance with the Tamico Dancing company.
”“Dancing is more than moving body parts; it is a pathway of expressing your deepest inner thought.”
