In 2009 Tamiko Maldonado founded TamiCo. Dancing Inc. in the Bronx, NY as a means for building life-learning skills. TamiCo. She earned her degree in Dance from Adelphi University, where she studied under the legendary Carmen de Lavallade. She furthered her training at Ballet Hisp\u00e1nico with Tina Ramirez and at Third Street Music School under Cara Gargano.<\/p>\n

Her diverse background spans ballet, jazz, flamenco, Brazilian, and modern dance. In addition to dance, Tamiko grew up singing and acting, giving her a deep appreciation for the performing arts as a whole.<\/p>\n

Tamiko discovered her love for teaching in her early teens. After graduating, she began working on Ralph Lauren\u2019s personal team, but soon realized that her true passion was working with children and sharing the joy of dance. When the opportunity arose to teach at an after-school program, she embraced it wholeheartedly and knew she had found her calling.<\/p>\n

In 2009, she founded TamiCo. Dancing, bringing high-quality dance education with a strong ballet foundation to the Bronx community. Dancing team, she has returned as studio manager and after a four-year break from pedagogy, resumed teaching at the school.<\/p>\n

As manager, she is proud to oversee the studio\u2019s daily operations and future creative projects. She started dancing at age two and joined a competitive dance team from the age of 7 to 18. She finished her dance education at The American Music and Dramatic Academy where she earned her degree in Dance Theater. She has trained in all styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theater and hiphop. Madelyn attended dance intensives such as The Rockette Summer intensive, Joffery Ballet School intensive, and Dance United Tap intensive. After highschool she moved to New York for college and continued training at Broadway Dance Center and Steps On Broadway.<\/p>\n

Jessica has brought her passion to people of all ages from toddlers to seniors, whether in studios, school programs, or community centers. Having been one of the dancers for the New York Knicks, among many other endeavors, she embodies and breathes technique, movement, and performance. She strongly believes in doing what you love and sharing that with the world.<\/p>\n

Over the years she has had the opportunity to train in different schools like Centro Cultural Virginia F\u00e1bregas in M\u00e9xico city, Estudio Liliana Belfiore in Argentina, Alvin Ailey dance school in NYC, and continues her training in different schools like Broadway Dance Center. In 2019 she became a Royal Academy of dance (RAD) certified teacher.
\nIn Quito, Ecuador she directed, choreographed and starred in leading roles as a dancer and singer in different musical theatre shows like Mamma Mia, Grease, Jesus Chris Superstar, Wizard of Oz and more. She also performed soloist roles at different ballets like Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote and Lily Fairy in Sleeping Beauty just to mention some.<\/p>\n
